The Mindset Guide

The logistics are learnable. The mindset is the real work. This is for the version of you that's still a little scared.

"Traveling solo helps you discover who you truly are and tests your limits in the most beautiful way. The world is waiting — don't miss out on the opportunity to discover you."

— Michel'le Valentin, SolaMente Travel

Reframes that will change everything

  • "What if something goes wrong?"Something small probably will — and you will handle it. That handling is exactly what builds the confidence that makes you want to go again.
  • "I don't want to eat alone."Sit at the bar. Bring a journal. Eat at the market. Eating solo is one of the most freeing parts — you eat what you want, when you want.
  • "What will people think?"The woman at the table alone is always the most intriguing person in the room. Solo travelers are seen as brave, independent, and interesting.
  • "I'll wait until I have someone to go with."This is the one that keeps women waiting forever. Your dream trip does not require company. You are enough company.

Your solo travel affirmations

I am capable of navigating the world alone.
I trust myself to figure it out as I go.
I deserve to experience the world on my terms.
